Join Tarumai Kerehoma, a fluent reo speaker & experienced kapa haka practitioner for an inspiring one-hour drop-in style workshop that celebrates the artistry & movement of poi.

You’ll discover the origins of poi & its traditional materials such as raupō, learn about its role in Māori storytelling & kapa haka.

Watch Tarumai demonstrate rhythm, flow & be guided through simple techniques in a welcoming, supportive environment. The session also includes time for pātai, offering the chance to connect directly with Tarumai & her deep knowledge of te ao Māori.
