This is a 45–60 minute walking tour starting from Te Wharekura and moving through key sites in central Auckland. Along the way, you’ll pause at places that hold deep meaning for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei — sites connected to history, leadership, and identity.
Our guides are mana whenua — people born of this land — who share kōrero tuku iho (ancestral stories).

What to Bring
Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Being prepared helps you focus, reflect, and enjoy each step.

Sun or Rain Gear
Bring a jacket or sunhat depending on the weather that day. Check the local forecast before you head in.

Comfy Shoes
The tour covers a fair bit of ground, so walking shoes are best. No dress shoes or heels — you’ll be walking city paths and may come across some uneven surfaces.

Water Bottle
Stay hydrated while out on the hīkoi (walk). Bring your own or top-up nearby before you start.
